so yesterday we headed to the beach because of the completely clear blue skies with not a cloud in sight for the entire day. so we headed off, after watching Ellen obviously.. (Ellen has become the daily ritual).. and got down to balmoral beach. was packed. so we headed out to the wee island halfway up the beach, and lay on the grass. Due to the wind coming from the sea it felt like a nice temperature, not that hot at all. So on goes the sun cream, just a light layer, no need to over do it its no where near as warm here as it was further up the coast. so lying around in the sun, with both our short attention spans can only last so long. after about an hour and a half we get up and start to head back to the flat. On the way back we swing by my work to pick up my pay.. sadly the boss isn't in yet so no money for me.. so we head back down the road, stopping to buy caster sugar.CAKE No. 2so to pass the time we decide to bake our second cake . the first one turned out so well so we thought we'd just wing it again; due to lack of measuring and other such baking utensils. only this time we wanted to make it bigger. so.. in goes some sugar.. in goes some butter... some more sugar.. some more butter.. some flour.. some more flour... some egg... some more egg... and lots and lots and lots of chocolate drop things. mmmmmmmmmmmm....in the oven for 20 mins... then another 20 mins.. then a bit more.. finally we take it out with the suspicion we may have added a little to much egg... so to make up for it... PLENTY of icing.. mmmmmmm... step in, our professional taste tester Miss Katherine Kelley, who seemed to think it was even better than the last one. awesomeness just comes naturally to some of us. now i'm just making a list of rather uninteresting stuff... like running up to get my pay, getting some cup cakes, getting some chinese... no where near as good as back home.. and somne of the best chicken kievs... ever.. mmmm.. anyway. last night watched ocean's eleven then went to bed. today... possibly beach again, maybe go get a library card. go put some money in the bank.ah well.. hope your all enjoying the cold.on another point, which stuart did not mention, he is extremely burnt, only on one side though, its hilarious. The two parrots that come and visit the window regularly

Parrots, again
I cant find the note pad with the stories from our travels up the coast so Im just uploading some photos from the past week or so since we got back.We havent been doing much except job hunting for me.Stuart got a job in a little cake shop/cafe just up the road in Mosman, which is pretty handy, but he did have to go to work at 6am this morning! He gets paid weekly, which is good coming up for Christmas! Only 2 weeks away I hear.Ive had no luck so far, everywhere seems to have hired their xmas staff. Also, at Christmas the whole of Sydney just seems to shut down for 2 weeks, so a lot of places will only be hiring after the new year. Our days dont seem to be consisting of much recently, watching The Ellen Degeneres show, handing out some cv's. Thats it!The weather here is going pretty crazy here, so much so that the weather forecast before the news was playing Katy Perrys, Hot N Cold, while it was showing the next few days forecast. It is correct though! One day its hot and sunny, the next its rainy and cold. Today is a rainy and cold day.Under the Sydney Harbour bridge
